Intellectual Property Clinic


This Clinic focuses on Trademarks e.g. examination of trademarks, participation in oral hearing, assisting in developing the law, example the repeal and replacement of the existing Trademark legislation; Patents and Industrial designs, e.g examination of patents and industrial designs, participating and assisting in advising local applicants relative to the filing of patents and industrial designs.


The student would do research papers, and problem solving will be the tools which will be utilized; discussions with senior scientists and attorneys will be encouraged and presentations would have to be made to small groups at the Intellectual Property Office.


  • Approximately 12 students – 6 per Term;
  • A commitment to 3-hour weekly sessions for at least 12 weeks;
  • Prompt attendance at all sessions.
